Function: Supply Management / Logistics

What You’ll Do

*Works on supply development projects to develop a supply chain capable of providing increased flexibility and responsiveness, improved utilization of assets, improved quality and reduction of overall cost.

*Leads/supports an improvement process with strategic suppliers for mutual sustainable benefits by improving John Deere and supplier processes.

*Works closely with a support team consisting of cost management specialists and value improvement specialists that assist the commodity teams.

*Technical Skills & Knowledge: Specialized skills, knowledge and abilities needed to perform the essential functions of the job.

*Understanding of Order Fulfillment Process. - Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.

*Skill in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution. - Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.

*Knowledge of advanced data gathering and analysis techniques, including statistical analysis. - Has a general understanding of the principles and uses the knowledge with assistance.

*Knowledge of unit processes and operations. - Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.

*Relevant Work Experiences: Type and amount of experience necessary to perform the essential functions of the job. May include specific roles and/or an understanding of a particular function, organization, industry or product line.

*Experience in specific areas of Supply Management such as: supplier integration, strategic supply management, supplier development, module supply management, scheduling, forecasting, logistics, etc. May be position specific.

*Project management experience. - Less Complex Project, consists of some or all of the following criteria: 5 or less persons on the project team; 1 or 2 disciplines involved; 1 or 2 facilities involved; scope in dollars is less than $500,000 and is determined on budget, revenues generated, savings, etc.

*Work experience in a team environment.

DESIRED:

*Experience in Supply Management.

*Planner OFP Strategic Sourcing.

EDUCATION:

*Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent experience.

*University Degree in a Supply Management discipline or equivalent experience.
