What You’ll Do
*Establishes routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation, quality plans and labor standards for revisions to current operations and/or new parts or programs of moderate scope.
*Innovates and implements cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas of moderate scope.
*Applies electronic tools across a broad range of applications, including e-builds, modeling and simulations.
*Develops and implements plans to support lean manufacturing through the Deere Production System of moderate scope. Designs operations layouts. Improves material flow and material presentation.
*Leads analysis, development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technology.
*Drive the Capital Budget of IMMEX in Loaders Operations.
What It Takes
*Knowledge of capital budgeting and capital equipment justification process. (Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.).
*Working knowledge of database management tools, the various loan accounting systems, and process management systems. (Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.)
*Background in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, power systems, etc.). (Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.)
*Skill in using computer aided design and/or engineering tools. (Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.)
*Knowledge of manufacturing and/or distribution processes, quality, tooling, tool design, total preventative maintenance and facilities. (Performs more complex functions, understands principles, may teach others.)
*Experience in one or more related engineering areas: industrial, production, methods, reliability, design, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, quality. (1 - 3 years)
*Experience with shop floor manufacturing, incentive pay systems such as CIPP (Continuous Improvement Pay Plan) and work measurement. (Less than 1 year)
*Work experience in a team environment. (1 - 3 years)
*Experience with engineering tools, systems and databases. (1 - 3 years)
*Experience with line and process design, material presentation, cycles of imbalance and visual management tools. (1 - 3 years)
*Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent experience. (University Degree (4 years or equivalent)
