  • Serve as materials planning member of engineering product launch team.

  • Establish initial planning data to launch product into manufacturing facility.

  • Set-up appropriate information in manufacturing system to drive planning process.

  • Order appropriate components required for final product assembly.

  • Schedule customer orders.

  • Create production orders, production plans and manufacturing requirements.

  • Plan within MRP system the appropriate inventory levels to support desired customer delivery requirements.

  • Lead transfer of new products, through the launch process, into manufacturing environment.

  • Communicate roadblocks and gating item information to appropriate management for resolution.

  • Lead Tier 3 weekly Material's launch meetings

  • Experience of 3 yr in similar positions

  • Background in Planning/purchasing

  • Minimum of a 4-year college degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Industrial Engineering

  • Knowledge of SAP, MRP and the TE Business Information applications is a plus.

  • English 100%

  • Background in Planning/purchasing ability to work under pressure

  • Good written and verbal skills

  • Familiar with the Microsoft package of Excel, Word and Outlook.

  • Experience in the Automotive industry is a plus

  • APICS Certification a plus

  • Ability to understand and effectively communicate issues.

  • Comfortable interfacing with all levels in the organization including Executive Management.

  • Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects

  • Must be able to meet deadlines.
