About The Opportunity
Coordinate Cost Request Study (CRS) responses across the AME Cluster and provide costing analysis support as it relates to CRS and new business sourcing (NBA-S). This will include but is not limited to (1) product / sourcing changes and (2) demand uplifts
BS Degree in engineering preferred with business administration acceptable, desirable with Master degree in Business or Manufacturing
Fluent in English, with an international mind-set
Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
Desirable, previous/Current work experience with GKN in a financial role
Available to travel in the cluster
Exposure to lean process improvement tools (BPI, PVD, etc.)
Results oriented with good written and oral communications skills, leadership, and influencing
Expertise with Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint
Proven ability of leading by influencing others to complete company objectives
Experience working across functional areas
Cost Request System
Update/improve and standardize CRS process with focus in the following areas:
Inputs (account team to functional team)
Distributuion to functional areas for analysis
Output (functional team to account team) collection
Conclusion (internal/customer approval process) summary & documentation
Tracking (winning or losing) and closure
Evaluate CRS input to ensure data is accurate and complete.
Distribute request for data input on CRS based on functional strategies (e.g. make or buy).
Manage the collection of data from functional areas in accordiance with Cluster priorities.
Support the analysis of cost data received from the functional areas with finance where needed.
Finalize CRS output and distribute to account team (and others where needed).
Properly close CRS emphasizing on proper feedback loop from account team to manufacturing.
Properly log inputs, outputs, closure, trends, etc in CRS PVD.
Eliminate waste in the CRS process by using lean tools to improve the current state.
Lead CRS process inside NBAS process with focus in the following areas:
Inputs – partnering with account team to ensure quick creation after award with idential commercial and engineering agreements from NBAQ (complete BOM/drawings)
Distribution – partnering with functional areas to ensure all are clear on data, sourcing and prioritization
Completion – manage functional areas to ensure completion on time
Output – ensure cost analysis is complete and clear for senior management review (NBAQ vs NBAS walk, etc)
Review proposed CRS’s and identify need of NBAS update and follow CRS for NBAS process when required
