Consumer Ops Internal Control Officer – Vice-President

Job Purpose:

The role implies collaborating in the design and implementation of the Internal Control Framework ( Sistema de Control Interno ) and the ongoing oversight of the Internal Control (IC) effectiveness and efficiency to ensure compliance with the Regulatory Mandate across GFB and its subsidiaries.

Reporting to the Consumer Operations IBCO. The role is responsible for driving a number of key initiatives to strengthen the control environment focusing on the compliance of internal requirements and policies. Including, among others, in ensuring the implementation and continues monitoring of corporate policies and regulation to support the enhancement of the control environment of the area. The role requires working closely with senior stakeholders, the OGC, In-Business Control Officers Liaisons, area Heads, Global Functions as Compliance, AML,IB-AML, Risk, ORM, FCR, Finance, Legal, HR, Data Governance, CSIS, & Internal Communication) & 2 nd and 3 rd line of defense.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the facilitation, coordination and resolution of internal policies in alignment with requirements and standards set by the centralized governance and oversight team

  • Work with stakeholders to ensure target dates

  • Identify, build and manage key relationships across the organization

  • Support Consumer Ops in the implementation and execution of its Business Recovery Plan

  • Ensure full compliance with Citi’s CoB Policy and Standards – document and resolve any instances of non-compliance in a timely manner

  • Coordinate required testing with Business Recovery Team Members

  • Ensure business recovery team members are informed as to all planned events and deliverables

  • Ensure that Denial of Access (DoA) and (DoS) testing is successfully performed on an annual basis

  • Ensure that Business Recovery Strategies reflect current organizational and functional process requirements.

  • Assists in the implementation of IS standards at the business level to ensure that procedures and practices comply with Citi standards. Exercise oversight to the IS program within the business, including programs, policies, and related reporting

  • Ensures IS Risk Assessment is performed according to Citi standards by partnering with the businesses throughout the ISRA process and determines the impact of control deficiencies.

  • Ensures Third Party IS Assessment (TPISA) follow-up.

  • Helps security incident response teams resolve and close the investigation of incidents with proactive suggestions.

  • Performs IS awareness and training activities, including IS education of new employees. Ensures IS awareness materials are distributed per CISS requirements. Monitors / tracks IS training per CISS requirements.

  • Monitors vulnerability assessments and ethical hacks, ensuring that issues are addressed as required by local regulation and Citi policy

  • Supports the IBCO liaisons with any other corporate policy that requires adjustments or new implementation.

  • Supports the IBCO with RICA process and provides support to the areas for taking any new initiatives to NPAC or CPAC.

  • Support the IBCO liaisons with Fraud Mgmt.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree (Business, Industrial Engineer, CPA, Economist, etc.)

  • Intermediate/advance in English and Spanish

Knowledge/Experience:

  • An ideal candidate would preferably be professionally qualified and have at least 5+ years of internal audit/compliance/risk background gained in consumer banking
