External Job Description Context/Scope:

Diageo is the world's leading premium drinks business with an outstanding collection of beverage alcohol brands across the spirits, wine and beer categories. These brands include Johnnie Walker, BuchananĀ“s, Black and White, Captain Morgan, Zacapa, Ciroc, Ketel One, Baileys, J&B and Tanqueray.

Diageo Mexico Supply is accountable for local manufacturing and production of Tequila Don Julio and other global brands. Tequila Don Julio has seen a dramatic increase on domestic and export sales driving sustained double digit growth, with forecast sales volumes exceeding plant capacity.

A large expansion program is planned in Mexico to support the increase in demand. The planned expansion represents a significant proportion of the overall Capex investment for the Diageo ISC over the coming four years.

This investment in Mexico will increase distillation capacity, expansion of the maturation facilities, effluent treatment operations, as well as the supporting utilities and facilities to support the production capacity increase.

This role will focus on implementing the Packaging expansion project, and as such will be interfacing with internal and external resources to ensure the delivery of the production line design development and implementation.

Purpose of Role:

The purpose of the role is to manage capex engineering projects and budgets related to the Packaging Hall Expansion for Tequila Don Julio.

Key Outputs:

Ensure compliance with appropriate Health, Safety and Environmental standards.

Deliver annual capex plans ensuring projects are delivered on time, within cost and to the expectations of the business.

Use specialist and engineering knowledge to provide technical specifications and costs for capex projects.

Liaise with external resources / contractors and deploy appropriate resources to ensure project delivery

Qualifications and Experience Required:

University degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical & Controls), or equivalent experience in packaging / operations project management

Deep understanding of packaging line design and operational concepts, practices and requirements.

Understanding of packaging materials and product specifications.

Excellent analytical, and problem solving skills

Proven successful project management delivery.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Self-motivated and able to work independently and remotely across different environments.

Bi-lingual (Spanish / English), preferred.
