Objective

Leading the company’s Lean Six Sigma efforts. Acts as a link between the organization’s Lean Six Sigma improvement program and executive leadership. Promotes Six Sigma at the top management level to obtain critical support and resources and ensure that improvement projects are implemented and adequately funded.

Understand of the company’s strategy to select Lean Six Sigma projects, create project teams and cultivate talent with the potential of becoming Black Belts.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Setting LSS vision and strategy:

  • Contribute with the design LSS vision and strategy for area of expertise

  • Be the architect and leader of lean transformation efforts for leadership teams

  • Enable the implementation of LSS plans directed at the achievement of the organization’s purpose

  • Advise Mangers on metrics to gauge LSS maturity within the organization

  • Ensure alignment and synchronization of Organization LSS mission/vision/purpose that support business plans

Deploying organization design to foster continuous improvement and human development:

  • Deliver bottom line results through successful implementation of high impact projects

  • Integrate LSS principles, values, philosophies and tools for driving improvement

  • Establish processes, systems and enablers to create a learning organization

  • Ensure that the process supersedes the leader creating an environment where leadership changes are non-disruptive to the process

  • Establish and drive programs and processes for people development and leadership development

Eliminating barriers by enabling effective communication about LSS strategy & deployment:

  • Reach out to leadership to ensure understanding of LSS

  • Communicate a sense of urgency throughout the organization around the need for “Continuous Improvement”

  • Foster respect for people as they mentor and coach others on their lean journey

Being the subject matter experts in LSS principles, values, philosophies and tools:

  • Be a teacher, mentor and coach for high level improvement projects

  • Work with cross functional experts within the organization to get project teams assistance they need to overcome roadblocks

  • Support Mangers to establish mechanisms to teach, mentor and learn LSS within the organization

  • Establish people development-education, motivation, empowerment and involvement

  • Encourage cross training, skills assessment, instructional goals, on-the-job training, teamwork, information sharing, suggestion systems and others to foster LSS throughout all levels of the organization

  • Remain up to date on latest trends in lean manufacturing through benchmarking and participation in various Lean consortiums
